Well this might be because I keep reminding him that married people do things that unmarried people can’t. Since we are a Christian home, that includes kisses on the mouth and …well…you know. Anyway, my son pops out with “I wanna marry J (his girl cousin)!”. We told him “you can’t marry her, she is [...]

It’s the age when discovery runs wild, differences are noticed, and repeated… My son has been talking about colors a lot lately. He has noticed that we are not all the same color in our family. This has prompted him to ask questions that I don’t feel comfortable explaining to a four year old child. [...]
This just made me laugh. I can picture my son trying the same thing. He can already do so much on my computer. Kim Komando relates how her son became a computer hacker of sorts and he is only in Kindergarten! Talk about genius My son can do pretty much anything he wants on the [...]
Heh. I should ask, because I still have issues cleaning my own room. How do you get them to clean their rooms? Do you give them treats? Do you promise them money? Do you help them do it? How old do you think they should be before they are responsible to clean their room entirely [...]
“I’m going to bed. I’m tired.” That’s what he just said to me. When did he start telling time? It’s quarter to nine. He looked at the clock, saw the hands on the 9 and said it was 9 o’ clock. Mind you, we have a clock with roman numerals.

Thanks to my husband, my son has just discovered the joy of peanut butter slathered on apple slices. I am NOT complaining since it’s so healthy and combines two of the foods my son loves. He had it last night and asked for it by name today for a snack. What a great healthy eater [...]
I was thinking about getting floam for my son, as he loves playdoh, but since reading about the not-so-wonderful experiences others like my new friend Angie has had, I don’t think I will be sinking my money into that pit. I was also pretty enthralled by her thoughts about Immunizations. We have been delaying his [...]

My son is pretty strong. In turn, he believes everyone and everything else can withstand his strength. He figures anything that is at least his size or larger is just as tough as he. Alas, this is not the case. Yesterday he hurt our dog. I’m not talking about the plastic sword this time. He [...]

Yeah, I just said that to my son. He only has a plastic sword, but it still hurts. He really needs to learn it now before he gets old enough to have a real sword LOL He is forever torturing the dog. At least the dog is okay with most of it. All he ever [...]

In our neighborhood, they don’t recycle. I find it odd that we have this huge dumpster outside that is used for EVERYTHING. It’s like this area doesn’t really care about the environment, so I have to go the extra mile when I teach my son how to respect it.
