Mechanics, History, and Science
Posted by Taz's Mom on November 21st, 2008 filed in Educational Toys, Field trips, Job Skills, ScienceYesterday my son got an impromptu lesson from his father on how to fix a DVD player and a VCR. He got a good look at the inner workings, and was allowed to help screw bolts into place.
They played the historic Samurai game again, too.
Today we talked about the Vascular system. He wanted to know why his father takes pills. We talked about high blood pressure, veins, and then he was done. He got squeamish when he saw the pictures of the blood vessels online. They weren’t really that graphic, but they made him uncomfortable. I’m like this from the boy who gets excited at movie carnage LOL.
We are planning a trip to Chuck E. Cheese on Monday. I joined a field trip group in New Jersey and we are hoping to get to Longwood Gardens for the Christmas fanfare with them.
