Homeschool: listening skills

OMG The last week has been a disaster for listening skills. I have been trying really hard not to get angry with him. REALLY!!! It’s like he wants to do school but then he doesn’t want to do what the instructions say he should. I’m like UM OK … >_< let’s try again. We aren’t even trying to do too much reading comprehension save reviewing more of the Moses story. Right now we are at the point in the story where they get manna from heaven. I give him mini quizzes about the story while I am reading to see if he is understanding it. He does, but then he is like off in a trance sometimes. *sigh* Five year olds.
