9 year old boy too good at baseball

Posted by Taz's Mom on August 26th, 2008 filed in Child Welfare

They won’t let him play. Isn’t that crazy? Because the boy has an extraordinary gift for the game, they punish him instead of praise him. They ostracize him and beat him down instead of lifting him up and helping him reach the top. Great job, grown people involved. YOu are all doing a wonder for anyone who strives to be the best they can be. This little boy feels like it’s all his fault that others can’t play. He has been made to feel that his gift is a curse. Bravo! </sarcasm>

It is a shame that the world is coming to this. We have no space for the gifted and talented!!

  2. Taz's Mom Says:

In the schools in our area, they have long forgotten the gifted and talented children by taking away the programs that used to be tailored for them. Now it’s either group A or Group B, with neither group being superior since all the children are treated academically the same.
