Math vs Taz

Pennies, fingers, flash cards, jumping jacks, other objects, math out loud…

He is STILL fighting math. Right now he is working on a page that should have taken him about 1/2 hour. It’s now nearly an hour and a half.

I am so tired of this. He KNOWS most of this crap. It’s the fact that he doesn’t want to RELATE what he already knows. He knows how to get the answer if he doesn’t know, but he doesn’t want to translate that into an action. Then he has the NERVE to get angry when I erase the wrong answers he scribbled across the page so he could just be done.

UGH.

edited to say that I am going to try the number line next. He seems to get the concept, but we shall see.
