Britney Spears’s 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, Nickelodeon confirmed Tuesday.

Am I the only one that is not happy about this? I am totally over these young “role models” that we have dancing and prancing around our children in this day and age. I turn on the rap music channel and see 13 year old boys singing about falling in love and feeling up on girls. I turn the channel again only to have our eyes assaulted by teen girls wearing next to nothing as they advertise yet another show about teenage life. I am trying to raise my son in as Christian a home as I can without going overboard about it. I try to allow him to be in the world but not of (or above) the world. He is only 4 years old. How can he possibly really grasp that a 16 year old unwed girl should be more careful about sex if she chooses to have it? It’s like if Hannah Montana got pregnant and went off air, what would I tell him? He is practically in love with that girl.

They are not my dd’s role models! Her role models come from a great book that teaches her about life now and forever, the Bible. We only listen to Christian music but she does watch TV. So if something comes up like this terrible issue we talk about it.

Although Jamie Spears is pregnant I am happy that she did not abort the baby. And I hope that the 18 year old boy gets into some trouble if possible. He is an adult after all.
