Has your child ever choked on marbles or something similar? My son decided the other night was prime time for him to figure out what marbles taste like. I had JUST asked him if he was okay, since he was in his room watching a movie. Not 2 minutes later he comes running out at me with a distressed look on his face and a marble comes FLYING out of his mouth. He started crying and gulping, but he could still make sounds. He ended up swallowing what I later found out to be 2 marbles. If he had not have been able to swallow them or talk/cry we would have been in the hospital. I am still monitoring him for problems, but he was able to eat and drink right after, so I don’t think any harm has been done.
I did look up the incident online and they say as long as he didn’t swallow something sharp or something with acid (like a battery) the items should pass normally within 4 days.
I do think that he has learned his lesson, though. He scared himself so badly I don’t think he will do something like that again.
