When I was a preschooler, my mother sent me to a summer program that was supposed to give us a jump start when we attended school in the fall. I remember nearly every aspect of those summer days. They really made a lasting impact. Now that I am the mother of a preschooler, I can’t help but to think that I should take advantage of this same type of opportunity for my son.
I know that being homeschooled is a bit different, but a child can still benefit from outside tutoring. SCORE has a summer program that I am really looking into for my son. They have so many different options for class sessions and it’s affordable. If I sign up before the 31st, registration is free. I have to talk it over with the spouse first, but it can only be a good experience for Taz. I am still checking to see which center is closest to our apartment. If you have had any experience with SCORE, please don’t hesitate to weigh in!
