Keeping up with my reading

I read to my son as much as I can stand. He likes to hear the same stories over and over again, till he has them memorized. I used to do the same thing to my mother. His favorite: Peter Pan. Mine: The Billy Goats Gruff & The three bears. He is trying to read along with his finger, and keeps up pretty well with what I am reading.

What really boggles my mind is that we will be interrupted or he won’t start to follow along until later in the story and he will pick up right at the spot I am going to read, no matter where it is in the paragraph or page. He is so amazing. I couldn’t fathom missing all this good stuff!
